What is GPRS?
GPRS (General Packet Radio Services); its a new technology or a carrier that allows you to access information on the go; GPRS lets you get to the information you need, when you need it. It makes your laptop, handled device or PDA a true extension of your office.
Whether youre in a taxi, an airport or just in a hurry, GPRS keeps you connected wirelessly.
Why GPRS?
GPRS technology enables data billing, which means you will be only billed for the amount of data actually sent and received, rather than for the time you have spent online, this way you can afford to stay online longer. In fact MC does not charge a monthly fee for GPRS so you really only pay for what you use

How to subscribe to GPRS ? It is Very simple
Subscription to GPRS can be made either by calling the customer care 1777 or by visiting our Customer Care Centre where our representative can attend to your questions and needs. As an introduction period, no monthly fees or connection fees are required; all what you have to do is ask for the services.
How to activate the service:-
You have to setup a web access point from your mobile .
You should have an enabled mobile for the GPRS settings.
For prepaid customers you should have 1 jd as a minimum balance in your account +the value of the bundle that you want to buy.
Setup your GPRS settings by dialing(*140#) .
or you can visit orange mobile shops to activate the service otherwise call (1780) .
now you can activate the web bundles service by dialing (*777#) then choose web bundles from orange services & choose the way that you want to use the service through( Buy or subscribe)
If you are a postpaid customer you have two options: buy or subscribe.
Postpaid Corporate customers should refer back to the fleet manager, and then they can visit orange mobile shops to activate the service.

How to use GPRS:
A. WAP related services
Prerequisites:
• To have a handset that supports GPRS technology.
• To subscribe to GPRS WAP services from Orange - mobile by calling 1777 or visiting our Face To Face customer care centre.
• To have your handset configured with the adequate settings.
Ericsson T68, T65, T39 and Nokia 8310,6310 settings can be configured remotely Over The Air.All you have to do is to call the customer care and ask them to send you the configurations directly to your handset without having to come to the Customer Support Center & without performing the configuration steps your self, you will receive a message titled New Settings, accept the installation message, thus, getting your handset configured & you will be ready to connect to Orange World GPRS.
B. Internet related services
Prerequisites:
• To have a handset that support GPRS technology
• To subscribe to GPRS Internet services from MC.
• To have a computer or PDA
• To have an active connection between the device & the handset, a cable or an infrared or a Bluetooth connection.
You can have access to GPRS by:
1) subscription to mentioned bundles
2) subscription data only line

What is Data Only line?
1) The Data only line is an independent line that supports the following data services:
GPRS services, WAP, Internet and streaming
MMS
SMS
CSD Data Call
2) The Data line combines the benefits of having security from unauthorized voice calls and attractive rates for data usage.
3) Data only line can be used ONLY for data usage and no voice calls can be carried out.
Service Tariff and Pricing
1) Monthly fee for the number of lines under 300 is 4 JDs per line.
2) For the number of lines over 300, the monthly fee is per the below tabl

3) The connection fee for the lines over 300 is free of charge.
4) CSD service is based on per minute consumption bases in case of dial-up to a remote location (GSM Data line or land Line).
5) Price per local SMS is 0.03 JD and 0.06 JD per international SMS.
6) Price per MMS is 0.09 JD for each 100KB unit and 0.12 JD per international MMS for each 100 KB Unit.
7) Normal internet connectivity is charged at the rate of 9 fils /10KB based on consumed traffic, special GPRS bundles are available at attractive rates of GPRS bundles that can be purchased per line.
8) WAP price PER 1KB is 0.003 JD (No Bundles for the WAP service)
Terms and Conditions:
1) Monthly fees will be charged in advance
2) 16% sales tax and 4% special tax is applied.
3) Device subsidy is applicable to Data Only devices per line based on an annual commitment, prices and models are based on availability and will be furnished separately (e.g. PCMCIA).
