Mobile email service give the user the ability to send and receive email messages using the mobile phone over SMS,WAP,GPRS,and the user also can access orange email services, address book will be available too ,anywhere you are.

• What your email will be?

The email address will be the phone number followed by @orangemail.jo, Alias email can be for convenience added by accessing the web at www.orangemail.jo or the WAP at http://orange world.jo alias email can be for example sameer@orangemail.jo then all email will be delivered to the same inbox
Mobile Email can be:

Over SMS; All mobile email text messages should be sent to 99163.

How to send an email?

Write the email address you are sending to, followed by the text of your message. For example: samer@testmail.com hey man, keefak? Let’s meet tomorrow noon at the club!
If you want to include a subject for your email, send the message email address followed by the subject between brackets and the text of your message. For example: samer@testmail.com (hello!) hey man, keefak?, lets meet tomorrow noon at the club!
You can also send emails using your Orange - mobile menu within your mobile menu; if you can’t find this menu please call 1777 and it will be automatically activated for you.
Price of each outgoing SMS to email is 50 files

How to receive an email?

You will receive your email as text message (alert), please note that the notification will include the first 160 characters of your email; you will have the option to receive the senders email address, the subject, the text body, or to receive nothing at all!

How to reply to an email?

Reply to emails the same way as you would reply to a text message. Using reply from the options menu on your phone, write the email address, the subject if needed followed by the text body. (The same way you write a new SMS to email message)

Over WAP;To access the Orange e-mail WAP menu from your mobile phone :
1) go to http://OrangeWorld.jo the WAP portal of Orange - mobile
2) you will find a link to Orange e-mail WAP interface, to log in to your account, press log in,
3) Enter your user name and password, your user name is your mobile phone number: 0777XXXXXX. if you have forgotten your password, press on forgot password link.
4) To register, press on register on the main WAP page and go through the registration process.

Over WEB: You can send and receive email by using Orange e-mails web mail at www. Orange e-mail.jo for FREE.
SMS/Email configurations Using the web site www. Orange e-mail.jo , you may customize the way you would like to receive SMS/email messages:

This will be using the Orange e-mails web mail for free..
You can stop receiving alerts in certain period of time, example: From 10:00 to 13:00.
You can decide which part (s) of the incoming email that you would like to receive: Sender, subject and the message text
Changing password: By going to preferences on the main page of Orange e-mail, you can change your password at your convenience, If you find the password that you received is hard to remember, you may change it to any word that you want.
Viewing attachment Attachments to emails can be viewed by the web, you need to click on the attachment using the right hand click, choose save target as and save the attachment in your computer, you can view the attachment after that.
Viewing messages in your old mailbox you will be able to view emails in your company or Internet Service Provider mailbox right from the Orange e-mail web mail page. All you need to do is entering the mailbox details in the remote mailbox section of preferences.
Centralizing your email box: to collect emails from other mail boxes and to be notified when an email is received on any old email address you can:
Contact your email provider and request that a copy of all received emails be forwarded to your Orange e-mail address.
If you are using email service from Hotmail or Yahoo, you can choose to forward all incoming emails to Orange e-mail by setting your preferences in side these sites.

Mobile email using email client (pc or mobile):Using an email client (Microsoft outlook, Outlook express, Lotus Notes, Eudora,etc) you can configure the client to send and receive your Orange e-mail, the general configurations to reach Orange e-mail are:
Type of connection: POP3 or IMAP4
Incoming mail server: proxy.Orange e-mail.jo
Outgoing mail server: smtp.Orange e-mail.jo
User name:
Password

You can use the email client feature either through your PC or through your mobile email client; from your PC you will need an email Client like Microsoft Outlook and an Internet connection, from your mobile phone you will need a mobile phone that supports POP3 email feature like the Ericsson T68 and T39, WEB GPRS or CSD WAP connection.
